G45 Botanicabella Photo Folio by Marina Wilson

Good morning, everyone!  First and foremost, I’d like to wish everyone a very Happy Easter!  …and although today is a day often spent with family, I figured you might have a little bit of time for a ButterBeeScraps fix 😉  Do you remember that fabulous altered box that design team member Marina Wilson created 2 weeks ago?  Well, today I get the pleasure of sharing her second DT project – a photo folio that fits perfectly inside her altered box 🙂

Marina used the same paper collection – Graphic 45’s Botanicabella – to create this folio.  She also carried over several of the same design elements from the altered box, which creates a cohesive looking pair.  She altered a Bronze Flower Metal Filigree Embellishment (#168-B) using a combination of embossing powder and Gilder’s paste, then cut it in half and added each half along the top and bottom edges of the front cover of her folio.

In the upper left corner, Marina added a Bronze Butterfly Tibetan Charm (#J922-B) she altered with Gilder’s paste, and tucked some moss and tiny sea shells around it.  Marina also added a Bronze Teardrop Metal Filigree Embellishment (#265-B) to the center of the folio cover, slightly tucking it behind that big beautiful butterfly.

Marina added some copper eyelets from her stash down the center of the flap of the folio…just like she did along the edge of the altered box it fits into.  She then added a cut apart from the paper collection onto the edge of the flap that tucks perfectly just under the edge of the butterfly, yet leaves that teardrop filigree slightly exposed.  I just love the thought that went into the arrangement of these elements on the cover!

Marina layered a Copper Flower Metal Filigree Embellishments (#025-C) and Gold Dimensional Flower Metal Filigree Embellishments (#7313-G) on the center of the folio flap.  She then finished off the corners of the flap using two Gold Metal Filigree Embellishments (#558-G).

Here’s a quick look at the inside of Marina’s photo folio:

It is filled with all sorts of fun pockets and flaps that can hold a ton of photos 🙂  If you’d like a close look at all the little details, please hop on over to Marina’s YouTube channel and watch the video she recorded of this beauty right HERE.  While you are there, I highly suggest you subscribe to her channel…she is totally talented and definitely worth following!

Thanks for wandering over to my little corner of the web today.  I hope you like Marina’s project as much as I do, and found some inspiration in it.  Cheers and Happy Easter!
