Graphic 45 Bonicabella Altered Box by Marina Wilson

Good morning, everyone!  This morning, I am very excited to be sharing our newest design team member’s very first project made for ButterBeeScraps 🙂  Check out this GORGEOUS altered box that Marina Wilson made using the Graphic 45 Bonicabella paper collection:

Let me wipe the drool off my keyboard…Marina started by covering the box with Graphic 45’s Bonicabella paper.  I love most G45 papers, but this one is really stunning…I’m hoarding some my own self 😛  For the closure, she layered an Antique Bronze Drawer Pull (#HD624-B) over a Bronze Metal Filigree Embellishment (#083-B).  She then tied a couple of tags from the paper collection to the handle of the drawer pull using a piece of seam binding.

On the top of the box, Marina added a little sentiment from the paper collection and framed it with a Tim Holtz ornate plate.  I didn’t think those ornate plates could get any better, but they just did!  Marina tucked a Bronze Teardrop Metal Filigree Embellishment (#265-B) under the plate and left the bottom sticking out.  …and that moss!  I would have never thought to add that, but it looks sooooo yummy.  I am so totally jealous right now!

Moving over to the right, you can see that Marina cut a Bronze Flower Metal Filigree Embellishment (#168-B) in half and added both halves to the ends of the box.  She also added 4 copper eyelets from her stash along the right edge of the box cover and weaved some bronze chain through the holes.  She then added a Bronze Leaf Metal Filigree Embellishment (#670-B) and a Miniature Bronze Bell Charm to the one end, and a small bronze key and bronze seahorse charm to the opposite end of the chain.

Here’s another look at the entire box:

So…if you didn’t think the rest of the box was beautiful enough, Marina added a stunning arrangement on the right using more moss, some twigs and mulberry paper flowers.  She then tucked a Bronze Tibetan Style Connector Link (#J071-B) in there, too 🙂

If you’d like a closer look at this beautiful altered box, Marina has uploaded a YouTube video that you can watch 🙂  If you’d like to show her some love, please leave her a comment below, or over on her YouTube channel.  Thanks for spending your Saturday morning with me!  Cheers and have a great weekend!
