Happy Birthday & Bonjour Card

Well, up here north of the border, we are getting ready for a long weekend…yay!  No orders will be shipped out on Monday or Tuesday due to the holiday.  …but, before I leave, I have a couple of simple but beautiful cards that were created by design team member Heidi Blankenship to share with you 🙂

For her first card, Heidi dry embossed some colored card stock then rub a white pigment ink pad over the raised pattern to make it pop.  She then stamped her “Happy Birthday” sentiment in the upper corner and created a border using pink seam binding.  …Heidi, you must show everyone how you create such perfect bows!  Finally, Heidi bordered the seam binding with a ButterBeeScraps Bronze Metal Filigree Embellishment (#020-B) and added a dangle to the bow.  To create the dangle, Heidi used a Bronze Ball End Head PinBronze Filigree Bead Cap (#CAP827-B)6X8mm Clear Faceted Glass Abacus Bead,  Bronze Filigree Bead Cap (#CAP052-B)Clear Rhinestone and Bronze Rondelle Spacer Beads – 6mm (#BD006-B/CL), and a 4 mm clear bicone bead from her stash.

For her second card, Heidi decided to emboss a white card stock background and used Antique Linen Distress Ink to accent the raised pattern.  She then stamped a flourish along the bottom of the card followed by the Eiffel Tower and a sentiment.  Over the raised embossing, Heidi layered a Small GLASS Clock Cabochon with Bronze Setting over a Bronze Metal Filigree Embellishment (#683-B).  Finally, she added some SS12, SS16 and SS20 Light Colorado Topaz Flat Back Glass Rhinestones.
