“ME” Scrapbook Layout

I have something a little different to share with you today 🙂  Design team member, Monica Roca created a 12″ x 12″ scrapbook layout for us!!!  She used Simple Stories paper to create the background of this elegant, earthy layout to highlight a single large photo.

She then added a vertical border using a combination of black card stock and Prima paper.  (Design Tip:  Using the rule of 3s makes for an eye-pleasing layout…group items in 3s (or odd numbers), or place borders 1/3 of the total width of your paper from the edge.)  Monica used three Bronze Metal Filigree Embellishments (#553-B) that she cut in half to create a decorative edge on either side of the Prima paper strip.

In the center of the border, Monica used a black decorative die cut as a background to the word “ME” that was created using Wooden Letters from my shop.  She then added Bronze Fleur-de-lis Metal Filigree Embellishments (#940-B) (coming soon) to frame her title.  To complete the border, Monica added SS12 and SS20 Siam Flat Back Glass Rhinetstones to the filigrees and half a doily on either side of the border.

To finish this layout off, Monica added Antique Bronze Tibetan Style Filigree Corners (#HD901-B) to all four corners and a black flourish die cut on either side of the layout with a bronze flower made by layering a Bronze Flower Metal Filigree Embellishment (#194-B) and a Bronze Filigree Bead Cap (#CAP040-B).
