Good morning, everyone! I know I’ve been terrible at keeping in touch with you all, so I’m really going to try to do a lot better 😉 Today, I have a beautiful little mini album created by Julie Dawson (thepaperbaglady1 on YouTube) to share with you 🙂 Julie created this mini using the Once Upon a Time paper collection, and gave it a fantasy theme. I love the quote she chose to add to the cover…
You’ve also gotta love how Julie mixes the metal with coffee dyed flowers…GOR-GEOUS! On the cover she used the large bronze filigree corners (#808-B) and a few bead caps (including #CAP040-B from the shop) as flower centers. Here’s a look inside Julie’s mini album:
On this page, Julie continued the same use of her coffee dyed flowers with metal accents in the centers. I just love that layered look! This time, she also used smaller sized bronze filigrees (#546-B) on the corners of the picture mats.
Flipping the page presents another gorgeous layout with 2 more picture mats:
You can see how consistent Julie is, incorporating similar elements on every single layout. This being said, she also adds interest along the way by throwing in a few different filigree designs, such as the bronze corners on the picture mats (#807-B) and cabochon frame with the dragon image in the lower right hand corner (#554-B).
I absolutely love the luscious jewel tones of this paper line, too!!! Here’s a look at the next page of Julie’s mini album:
Yup…just more yumminess! I do love how Julie took advantage of the stunning imagery on the paper, allowing unicorns, mermaids and fairies to peek out around the edges of the picture mats 🙂
Here’s a look at the last page of Julie’s mini album:
You know, I’m feeling kinda inspired to go spend some time in my own crafty space now 🙂 I love the whimsical feel to this album, and I hope it inspires you to break out the tapes, glues and luscious papers you have in your own studio. And if you’d like more inspiration from Julie, you must go check out her YouTube channel right HERE…make sure you tell her I sent you 🙂 Cheers, and have a great week!
OMG! I have the papers for soooo long and recently purchased the latest edition of this line. I have been looking for inspiration and here it is, right in my inbox! Love it and can’t wait to check out the video… This will be for our non-traditional marriage photos – we eloped! And a few decades later, I am still trying to scrapbook those photos! Thanks for the post!
