Pearls and Swirls Wing Necklace and Butterfly Bezel by Heidi Blankenship

Good morning, everyone!  I know I’ve been incredibly quiet this last week, but believe you me…I have been working my butt off 🙂  This morning, though, I have a couple of beautiful necklaces created by design team member Heidi Blankenship to share with you.

For her first necklace, Heidi used the brand new Bronze Wing Metal Filigree Embellishment (#166-B) to create a simple but stunning focal point.  She then added two different sizes of white flat back pearls to the filigree, and finished the piece off by adding some white pearl rosary chain.

For her second piece, Heidi used a piece of ribbon like I have never thought of before…in a bezel to create a necklace pendant!  Here’s a look at her finished piece:

Heidi used a Large Silver Bezel Frame (#F418-S) and added a small piece of the new Vintage Butterfly Cotton Ribbon (#RB054-N) into the bottom of the bezel.  She then added SS8 Clear Crystal Rhinestone Chain Trim around the inside edge of the bezel.  To dress up the ribbon a little, Heidi added a few SS12 Clear Flat Back Crystal Rhinestones. and small section of a Bronze Metal Filigree Embellishment (#020-B) that she shabbified using Krylon paint.   To finish her pendant, Heidi adhered an Antique Silver Glue-on Jewelry Bail (#J231-S) to the bottom of the bezel using E6000, and hung a small silver butterfly from the Buttons & Baubles Grab Bag from it.

I hope you like Heidi’s project as much as I do.  You can show her a little love by leaving a comment on this blog post or by visiting her blog 🙂  Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by today…I hope you all have a wonderful week…cheers!
